Motorcycle Training In Cornwall

We can provide you with quality training to suit with courses starting from as little as £150 (CBT).  Whether it's Compulsory Basic Training (CBT), Test Training or Post Test Training we can provide it all.  

We have a well maintained modern fleet of machines, an IT equipped training room, our own training area and an on-site cafe. We can also provide one to one training upon request to meet your requirements.  All our instructors are experienced motorcyclists and are Driving and Vehicle Standards Agency certified.  All training is conducted in full compliance with all legislation and industry regulations.

Compulsory Basic Training (CBT)

All training starts with our CBT course conducted on our own training facilities at our Indian Queens dealership.  Equipment loan (helmet, Jacket, gloves) and bike hire is included.

 Test Training (Gain Full Licence)

If you're looking to obtain a full licence and open up your riding options, one of our test training courses is the route for you.  Our courses include use of equipment (helmet, jacket, gloves), bike hire, fuel, insurance and test fees.

Post Test Training (Improve Riding Skills)

 If you want to get more out of your motorcycling we offer post test training specific to your requirements from one of our qualified instructors.

MEET THE TEAM

Pete is our Chief Instructor. He is a Driving & Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) Compulsory Basic Training (CBT), Direct Access Scheme (DAS) and Registered Post-test Motorcycle Trainer (RPMT) certified professional instructor. He started riding in 1976 has owned and ridden a wide variety of machines and enjoys touring. With IAM RoadSmart he is a Motorcycle Examiner, National IMI Observer and Masters Mentor. He has passed the IAM RoadSmart advanced test, the Masters test (with a distinction) and the DIAmond elite test.
Alison is the Damerells company secretary and has provided admin support to our training team since 1990. Along with Pete she can also provide advice and consultancy on all training matters.
Nigel is a DVSA certified professional DAS and CBT instructor. He started riding in 1977 passing his test in 1978 and ridden numerous machines since.
Gary is a DVSA certified professional DAS and CBT instructor. He started riding in 1982 and has owned and ridden a wide variety of machines. He is an active member of IAM RoadSmart through CAM and is qualified as an IAM RoadSmart IMI National Observer. He has passed the IAM RoadSmart advanced test.
Tim is a DVSA certified professional CBT instructor. He has been riding full-time since 1996 and is an active member of CAM. He has passed the IAM RoadSmart advanced test and Masters test. The Masters test is the highest award that can be achieved by a civilian driver or rider and Tim was the first rider in Cornwall to obtain this award. He is qualified as an IAM RoadSmart IMI National Observer, Masters mentor and is part of the IAM RoadSmart Regional Training Team.
Karen is a DVSA certified professional CBT instructor. Karen started riding in 1976. She is an active member of IAM RoadSmart through CAM and is qualified as an IAM RoadSmart IMI Local Observer. Karen has passed the IAM RoadSmart advanced test.
Malcolm is a DVSA certified professional CBT instructor. He passed his test with Damerells a few years ago and was so impressed with the training he decided to join the training team! He has passed the DIAmond advanced test.
Brendan is a DVSA certified professional CBT instructor. He passed his test with Damerells in 2011 (Pete trained him). Since then he has gained experience and developed his riding passing the IAM RoadSmart advanced test and become an IAM RoadSmart IMI Local Observer with Plymouth Advanced Motorcyclists (PAM).
